This page describes what an independent three-bay repair shop does with your information. It is deliberately specific, because “vehicle data” means something concrete in our trade.
What we collect
From the appointment form: your name, phone number, vehicle year, make, model, mileage, what you need, when the symptom occurs, and your description of the problem. When the car arrives we add the VIN and licence plate to the repair order, because parts are ordered against the VIN and warranty claims require it.
During diagnosis we read data from the vehicle's own computers — stored and pending fault codes, freeze frame data, live sensor readings and readiness monitors. That information describes the car, not you, but it is stored with your repair order.
Our web host keeps ordinary access logs for security. This site does not carry advertising trackers or third-party profiling scripts.
What we use it for
Scheduling, diagnosing the fault, ordering correct parts, producing your written findings and estimate, invoicing, and honouring the warranty on our work. Vehicle history matters here: knowing that a part was replaced eight months ago changes what we test first.
Who it is shared with
Our technicians and service writer. VIN and part numbers go to parts suppliers to fulfil orders. If a repair falls under a manufacturer warranty or recall, the relevant details go to that manufacturer with your agreement. If we refer you out for body work, transmission or tires, we give you the name — we do not pass your details along and we receive nothing for the referral.
We do not sell customer information. We do not share it with extended-warranty telemarketers, and if you start getting those calls it did not come from us.
How long we keep it
Appointment requests that do not become work are cleared after 12 months. Repair orders, diagnostic findings and invoices are kept seven years — a documented repair history protects you as much as us. Pre-purchase inspection reports are kept two years and belong to the person who paid for the inspection.
Your choices
Call (813) 555-0137 or email service@exodustu.shop to request a copy of your records, correct them, or delete an appointment request. Completed repair records subject to warranty and tax retention stay on file.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Appointment email lands in a shop mailbox with two-factor authentication. Scan tool data and repair orders live on the shop computer at 6350 Tabogi Trail, which is not accessible from outside the building.
Children
Work is authorised by vehicle owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
